Phil and Joann Klingsmith Scholarship

This scholarship has been established by Phil, a local attorney and emeritus faculty member, and JoAnn Klingsmith to provide assistance to students majoring in economics at Western. Phil has a long history with Western Colorado University. First, as an outstanding student and ski racer, later, as a faculty member and chair of the Business, Accounting and Economics Department. As community leaders, Phil and JoAnn, have dedicated themselves to enhancing the quality of life on the Western Colorado University campus and in the Gunnison community. Phil and JoAnn’scommitment to students is exemplified in this scholarship.
