Patti Burritt Locke Future CPA's Program Scholarship

The Patti Burritt Locke Future CPAs Program has been established by Patricia Locke to first and foremost be a means of support and encouragement to elevate the resources and experiences provided to Western Colorado University students pursuing careers as CPAs. This may be accomplished through scholarship assistance to students with significant financial need that are dedicated in their pursuit of earning an accounting degree and continuing to acquire their CPA license in the School of Business’s 5-year Future CPA program.
Eligible and promising students join the program in their sophomore year after completing entry-level accounting courses. Funding from the Patti Burritt Locke Future CPAs Program will provide unlimited CPA review prep for the student’s remaining four years in the program and will be integrated into the class curriculum. Each cohort will prepare to take their CPA exam immediately after the completion of their degree. The goal of the Patti Burritt Locke Future CPAs Program is to launch a student’s CPA career directly after exiting Western and entering the marketplace.

Pattie Burritt Locke established this scholarship to assist full-time Western Colorado University students majoring in Accounting. A 1976 graduate of Western, Patti is now a partner in the firm Brown & Locke, P.C. in Denver, Colorado.
