Mountaineer STEM Scholarship

The Mountaineer STEM Scholarship has been established by Elaine and Fritz Culver to provide scholarship assistance to Western Colorado University students. This scholarship covers full tuition and fees with an additional $5,000 per year for housing for up to four (4) years.

ELIGIBILITY:
A. A fulltime undergraduate student who graduated in the top 10% of their high school or community college class
B. Majoring in a STEM program
a. Science (Biology, Chemistry, Applied Physics, Geology)
b. Technology (Western’s Computer Science program, non-CU/partnership)
c. Engineering
Students in the Rady School Engineering Western/CU partnership are eligible in their freshman and sophomore years (as Western students). In their Junior and Senior years, they are CU students on Western’s campus and eligible for CU Scholarships.
d. Mathematics
C. Transfer students from in-state community colleges are welcome to apply to
complete their final two years at Western.
D. A Colorado Resident receiving in-state tuition
E. Maintains a GPA of 3.2 or greater
F. Has some level of unmet financial need
