Al Caniff Art Scholarship

The Al Caniff Art Scholarship has been established by Al Caniff, Professor of Art, to provide scholarship assistance to Western Colorado University students majoring in Art.

This scholarship serves to honor a selected BFA Senior who includes co-curricular activities and service to the Art program. This scholarship is to also honor Veterans of the United States Armed Service who are an enrolled BFA Senior at Western Colorado University.

Part of the monies collected from Al selling his Art work at Western’s Annual Art Sale are added to the scholarship fund. This allows other people to participate in giving.

Al’s encouragement for recipients of this scholarship is to create to your Heart’s content!

Eligibility
Full-time Western Senior majoring in Art
Overall GPA of 3.0 or above
Student must exhibit service to the Art program by involvement with the ART League or other co-curricular art activities
Preference will be given to a BFA Senior Veterans of the United States Armed Forces
