Karen and Ryan Liles Rural Teaching Fellowship

The Karen and Ryan Liles Rural Teachers Fellowship has been established by Ryan and Karen Liles to provide fellowship assistance to Western Colorado University students in the School of Education. This fellowship will provide students in their residency (i.e., student teaching) year of teacher preparation matching funds to secure the Colorado Rural Teaching Fellowship offered by the Colorado Department of Higher Education. These teaching candidates commit to teaching in the same rural district for two additional years beyond their fellowship year.

Please work with the EDUC department to complete the necessary steps of this application.
ELIGIBILITY
A. Must be enrolled in K-12 licensure program at Western Colorado University
B. Must participate in the Colorado Rural Teaching Fellowship offered by the Colorado Department of Higher Education.
C. Preference for at least one of the scholarships to be given to a candidate teaching in Chaffee County
