Oliver & Caroline Whitehead Opportunity Fund

The Whitehead, Oliver & Caroline Opportunity Fund has been established by Oliver (99) and Caroline (00) Whitehead to provide scholarship assistance to students at Western Colorado University. This fund is intended to provide financial assistance for sophomore year and above, full-time Western Colorado University students with a preference for students with declared majors in History or Biology who demonstrate a love for outdoor activities in and around the Gunnison Valley.

Applicants for the Scholarship:
A. Sophomore or above WCU students in good standing
B. Preference towards students with declared majors in history or biology with a
demonstrated love for outdoor activities in and around the Gunnison Valley
C. Specifically, for students that intend to graduate (undergraduate or advanced degrees)
from Western Colorado University
D. Students employed while attending school (work study, PT or FT jobs) are strongly
encouraged to apply
E. Previous awardees are encouraged to reapply annually
