Luke Miller Memorial Scholarship

The Luke Hunter Miller Memorial Cross Country Scholarship was established in 2019 by the Miller Family, following his death, to provide scholarship assistance to Western Colorado University student-athletes. This scholarship serves to celebrate the memory of Luke Hunter Miller, who was a remarkable student, distance runner, friend, and young man, who tragically lost his life while a student at Western Colorado University.

Luke was a scholar who loved to learn, especially about films and literature. He began his college life in the Fall of 2017 at Western Colorado University where he was studying communication and an emphasis in film studies. As a true freshman he was part of the Mountaineer squad that finished in fourth place at the NCAA Division II National Championship Cross Country meet.

This scholarship is more than simply a gift to provide financial aid. It is a message of encouragement that donors believe in you, your gifts and talents and your bright future. This scholarship is an investment in you and the dividends will be all that you become. You are more than a scholarship recipient, you are part of a legacy in making the world a better place. We hope that one day you will be in a position to enjoy helping students and create your own legacy!
