Excellence in Academics and Athletics Scholarship

The Excellence in Academics and Athletics Scholarship has been established by the Western Colorado University Foundation to honor Nancy Chisholm as the 2023 Mountaineer Award of Excellence. This scholarship serves to provide scholarship assistance to Western Colorado University students who excel in academics and athletics.

Applicants for this scholarship
- Must be an active participant on a Western Colorado University athletic team, including NCAA, Mountain Sports, and Club Sports
- Must demonstrate excellence in academics and athletic pursuits
- Preference will be given to students nominated by a coach or staff member from the applicant’s program based off of academic and athletic excellence witnessed first hand
- Recipients may re-apply each year

Six awards of $2,000 each will be made each year, two to each program.
