Reisher Scholars Program - Continuing Students

The Reisher Scholars Program is for full-time college students with financial need who have successfully completed one year of college at Western Colorado University.
The Reisher Scholarship is a $6,000- $22,000 scholarship opportunity. The mission of the Reisher Scholars Program is to provide post-secondary educational opportunities for Colorado students through scholarship grants at in-state schools. The objective is to enable promising students from Colorado, who do not have sufficient financial resources, to graduate from college in a timely manner with minimal additional educational debt.

Before Applying, please review the following requirements:
Applicants must be classified by Western Colorado University as a Colorado resident.
Applicants must be a first-year Western Colorado University student who will be a sophomore by credit by the following Fall semester.
Applicants must be eligible for the Pell Grant (Maximum, Minimum, or Calculated) or demonstrate unmet financial need while having a household adjusted gross income less than 300% of the Federal Poverty Level.
Applicants must have (and maintain) a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Applicants must plan to study full-time (at least 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester) in a campus-based, degree-awarding program.
Applicants must have a plan to graduate within three years of receiving the scholarship.

Once selected, in order to continue to receive funding, a Reisher Scholar must:
Continue to be a Colorado resident.
Be enrolled as a full-time student and complete at least 12 credit hours each fall and spring semester at the Partner Institution.
Maintain a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
Work an average of ten hours per week during the school year.
File the FAFSA every year in a timely manner to meet early priority deadlines at Western Colorado University
Attend required Reisher Scholar events and respond to inquiries from their Reisher Coordinator in a timely manner.
Continue to demonstrate financial need.
