Gunnison Savings & Loan Scholarship

Scholarship Eligibility:

- Have a 3.0 GPA or higher
- Declared business, accounting, or economics major
- preference given to students with a checking and/or savings account with Gunnison Savings and Loan

Established by Gunnison Savings and Loan for Western students majoring in Business, Accounting, or Economics.

It was important to establish this scholarship because the board of directors has an interest in young people developing in the business world- particularly business and accounting. The association has historically been well connected to WCU. The early board members taught at the University (Damson, Walker, Gern) as well as a current board member (Kowal). When WCU thrives, our community thrives.

This scholarship is more than simply a gift to provide financial aid. It is a message of encouragement that donors believe in you, your gifts and talents and your bright future.
