Ethel Rice Athletics Scholarship

The Ethel M. Rice Athletic Scholarship has been established by Ethel M. Rice, revered WESTERN

librarian, to provide scholarship assistance to deserving Western State student-athletes.

ELIGIBILITY
- Athletics: Must be a FEMALE student athletic participating in any sport; preference will
be given to members of the women’s basketball and/or volleyball teams
- Year in School (after completion of current spring semester): Applicants must be full-
time students at Western; preference will be given to incoming freshmen (for purposes
of recruiting)
- GPA: 3.0 or higher. Incoming Freshmen must have a high school GPA of 3.0 or greater
on a 4.0 scale
