Ed R. Westwater Math Scholarship

The Ed R. Westwater Math Scholarship has been established by Lynn Westwater and Jay Brodsky in honor of Dr. Edgeworth (Ed) R. Westwater, a proud first-generation college student who graduated from Western State College in 1959 with a Bachelor’s of Arts in Mathematics and Physics. Ed went on to earn his MS and PhD in Physics from the University of Colorado and spent much of his career as an Atmospheric Physicist with NOAA. The Ed R. Westwater Math Scholarship has been established to provide scholarship assistance to Western Colorado University students.

Applicants for the scholarship:
A. Must be majoring in math
B. Preference given to first-generation students
C. Preference given to applicants in their junior or senior year
