GVH Foundation Nursing Education Scholarship

The GVH Foundation Nursing Education Scholarship has been established by the Gunnison Valley Health (GVH) Foundation to provide scholarship assistance to Western Colorado University students.
The GVH Foundation is pleased to partner with Western Colorado University on the creation of a nursing program supporting the Gunnison County and surrounding areas. GVH is unable to meet current nursing workforce needs, which has led to a significant number of nursing vacancies over the years. GVH looks forward to working alongside Western Colorado University administrators and professors toward the development of a nursing curriculum that will meet the unique needs of rural communities, such as Gunnison.
The GVH Foundation is a non-profit organization with their mission of supporting Gunnison Valley Health in the delivery of high-quality health care in Gunnison County and surrounding areas.

ELIGIBILITY:
A. Must be enrolled in the Western Nursing Education Program (includes CNA and BSN programs)
B. Initial priority preference given to students/residents from the Gunnison Valley who intend to work for GVH upon graduation
C. Secondary priority preference given to students/residents from the Western Slope of Colorado with intentions of working for GVH or rural focused hospitals
