Jeane D. Fair Scholarship

The Fair Scholarship in Modern Languages has been established by Dr. Jeane Fair, professor of modern languages at Western Colorado University from 1948 through 1965, in memory of her parents. The Fair Scholarship will provide a maximum number of students with at least 50% of annual costs for tuition fees and books for the year awarded.

ELIGIBILITY:
A. Be a Colorado resident and U.S. citizen.
B. Be a declared foreign languages major (preferred)
or a minor with strong interest in studies of other cultures.
C. At least one award shall be given to an entering freshman who has demonstrated a strong interest in and aptitude for foreign languages — the balance of the awards shall be given to students who have obtained at least sophomore standing.
D. Have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or greater.
E. Demonstrate financial need.
F. Students who have received Fair scholarships shall be eligible to reapply for renewed support.
