Elizabeth Cobbins Environmental Justice Scholarship

The Elizabeth Cobbins Environmental Justice Scholarship, established in 2021, is named after Elizabeth Cobbins, former Program Coordinator of Western’s Multicultural Center. In June 2020, Ms. Cobbins organized Gunnison’s ‘Justice for All’srally, the largest gathering for racial justice in the Gunnison Valley’s history. The gathering itself illustrated Cobbins’sown ethic of courage, solidarity, and service to others and this award is named in recognition of those ideals.

ELIGIBILITY:
A. Full-time Environment & Sustainability student (major or minor) who is active in the Multicultural Center.
B. Preference will be given to applicants demonstrating financial need and thus applicants must also complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) through the office of Financial Aid.
